Canada delays rulemaking for cannabis beverages #FinanceUSA #StockMarketNEWS
A Health Canada official told MJBiz that the agency does not expect to approve new regulations that would increase the possession limit for cannabis infused beverages until well after the summer months. A spokesperson for Health Canada said the rule change will not be completed before the fall of 2022. The proposed change would roughly increase the allowable limit for cannabis-infused beverages to 48 standard-size beverage cans, up from five. Shares of the Cannabis ETF , which includes Canada-based cannabis companies, rose 2.3% on Friday. The ETF is down 53.4% so far this year, compared to a drop of 31% by the Nasdaq.
